He is an impact player on the dline, he should have had at least 6 sacks through the first 5 games but has just missed them by not breaking down correctly . He had one against Fsu and missed two of them. But anyways he is becoming a complete dend as he can stop the run as well. Look what he did to fsu's best offensive lineman Roderick Johnson who is a beast him self

That play reminded me of the exact same scene against FSU 3yrs ago with Jameis at Qb in the game Duke got hurt.

Aqm was a beast on sat night - unblockable both in the pass and run. He may not have gotten the sacks but he created a lot of havoc.

One of the many maddening things about this team, there is definite talent on this defense and with the right coaching we could be dominating folks.

LMAO! @ "He is an impact player on the dline."

Yeah, maybe on the All Hat No Cattle team, not for us.

Impact players get sacks, not completely whiff!

And after that play they took him out the game smhd

That is what we do when dlineman have too much impact on the game, I remember a play by trusty trent a couple games ago where he got a sack and then they pulled him out before he could even get up. Cant have guys trying to make plays, they become me guys.

The d-line with Thomas-Norton-Moten-and Quan was dominate for two series in the forth quarter--Then strangely they were sent to the sidelines to rest in obscurity with the game on the line..

This. Notice that AG and Nosh!t tend to take players out after they make an impact play. The fuggin "everyone can play" approach is truy annoying. Keeps players from getting into a groove.

One thing I will say, Randy Melvin is getting more out of these kids then Jethro did. Great work on developing Norton into a potential beast at DT. Cant wait to we get a REAL DCoordinator who will turn a starting Dline of Thomas-GWillis-Norton-AQM/Djax/Harris into the best Dline in the country next year.

I'd say it's less Melvin than it is the fact they're slanting a lot more. Their hands seem better in the interior line, but I'd let some of the OL/DL guys talk more about that aspect. It's crazy how guys look totally different with assignment changes, but that's what we're watching.

I think some of what we are seeing as far as pass rush is also a result of the personnel we are seeing. In that sense, the Darrion Owens injury has actually helped us in that very limited regard. They are playing toolbox Trent back at linebacker a lot more, which has opened up opportunities for Muhammad and Thomas to get on the field together more often. Watching them go to work this weekend was fun. It was a crap opponent, but there aren't many teams that could contain them both if they are trying to get up field.
