87 from penn state is nice. Hunter long, I don’t see the athleticism. Pitts proved all he needed too..Brevin imo will impress at the combine/pro day with his movement skills and route running . His height and length will be the determining factor Imo. But as of now it looks like

Rousseau is a very raw prospect right now especially as an edge rusher. I see his future as a 5-Tech but he needs to put on weight. His best work came from rushing inside. Phillips has much better technique, better hands, etc. Phillips is better in pretty much every aspect. He’s more developed and if he hadn’t had a history of concussions, he’d be a top 5 pick. Numerous draft experts has said he’s the best pass rusher in the draft. Kid is a stud and will be a stud in the NFL assuming he stays healthy. Sucks he won’t be available come pick 22 for my Titans because we desperately need a pass-rusher.

I’ll take the other side of your view. Rousseu is a more unique ability set for the nfl, imo. Longer, more lean, more leverage, more agility. yes, he’s rawer. But with practice, rousseau has the potential to be a better, rarer player. Id take gr over phillips for sure (big caveat: subject to combine etc.).

Yup Rousseau is going to be a monster with NFL training.He has the higher ceiling. It's why he will be picked first between the two.

As defensive minded as Flores is..If Najee Harris (whom everynoe thinks is the Dolphins choice at #18) or GR15 is the choice..He goes with GR15 all day every day.

That said, and ive said this many times..its easy for people to just forget about GR15 because we havent seen him in over a year. But once that dude gets in front of scouts with no shirt on looking like a freak from another planet..all this talk about him not being a top 15 pick will be out the window...quickly.

There’s a real chance he’s available 18th. I don’t think he will because it’s rare for no edge to be drafted by then, but I’ve seen one mock that has Rousseau going 18th. It’d help if 5 QB’s go top 17, which has a good chance.

To me, to me.....Phillips game may translate a little more. His motor & get off is much quicker than Greg. But, Greg got Go-Go Gadget length & huge hands. It’s going to be hard af for any OLmen to engage w him.

Regardless, I think both have very productive careers. Teams r going to be fortunate having both young men in their locker rooms.

I love Greg's upside but there's not one single play on his highlight tape where he whoops an Offensive Tackle, works a pass rush move, bends around the edge, etc. All of his sacks are hustle plays, or plays where he grabbed the QB while he was leaving the pocket. That's great and all, but that's not what teams spend 1st round picks on. (although they may spend one on him simply for his body and potential)

When you sack QB's as they're being flushed from the pocket, you're just cleaning up a mess that somebody else made. You're not making the mess yourself. On many of his sacks he's being blocked.

He's got 1st round potential, but that's not a 1st round DE tape.
