Listening to Feinbaum, they were talking about who Richt would bring from Ga as coordinators.

Paul laughed and said " well, we know the oc won't be coming ".

It's not just obvious to us S hittenheiner sucked. It's common knowledge.

I believe Richt will call his own plays. Should have a monster budget for DC.

Well, I'm guessing Peyton Manning is gonna retire after this year. Doubt he ever goes the college route though.

Yep. And he was a great oc.

I think we bring in a younger up and comer oc , give him the title of oc/ qb coach and Mark calls the plays . Then use that extra money on position coaches and Dc.

Kinda like Coley under jimbo, just not the salary

I just assume give it to Coley. Script plays and recruit.

Like I said yesterday, this is the perfect spot to bring in Dorsey as OC. Richt can call plays and be involved with QBs, and Dorsey can learn and eventually slide into the role or take over as HC down the road.

Yep

Dorsey has a very good job and returning to the "U" is probably the last thing on his mind as he climbs the NFL Pole..

He can get a pay raise and the title "offensive coordinator". Whether he calls plays or not this is a resume builder if that opportunity doesn't arise in the NFL this off-season. Obvious next step for the guy.

Could be the spot for Dorsey, doesn't call plays and learns from
Richt.

Will be interesting to see if he keeps Coley for recruiting if he plans to call his own plays. Like someone else said - like the Jimbo situation. Coley can recruit, but he can't call plays.

This is the first thing that came to mind when people started talking about who his OC is going to be. No established OC is coming here knowing that Richt is handling things which means we have to get an up and comer who is willing to take the title only and learn on the job. Dorsey would fit perfectly. He's not going somewhere to be a QB coach, especially coming down from the NFL on an undefeated team to a college job as a QB coach.
