I thought we outplayed them for the most part. They had mistakes and we had mistakes. They tried to hand us the game and we wouldn't take it. If you take away the -44 yards rushing from qb sacks, we ran for nearly 150 yards. A lot of those sacks could have been avoided but at least he didn't throw ints. I am encouraged that we might finally have a competent QB. Everyone knows freshmen on the oline is a recipe for disaster. If there is one place where upperclassmen have a distinct advantage it's on the line. It's easy to say "same old Miami", but i think we are turning the corner. A lot of people are going to blame Enos for this loss. Maybe he shouldn't have played 2 freshmen tackles. If you are being honest with the situation he really doesn't have much choice. Until we get some solid oline play we are never going to be more than mediocre. Hopefully these young guys take something away from this game. The missed field goal really killed us. We had multiple drives in FG range that would have given us a chance to win. Jeff Thomas had a few mistakes that hurt us but I thought he could have changed the game if we had gotten him the ball more. Williams can't throw deep with no time. The UNC game will give us a more accurate assessment of where this team is going. If i'm a recruit watching this game I am going to Miami. Those boys just looked like they were having way more fun than Florida. It's a long season. Losses suck but at least we appear to finally have a QB.
