Miami has a mind-boggling three game losing streak to teams they should have beaten in their sleep. Fans are trying to figure out why ....

is it the HC's fault, stupid playcalling, poor execution by players ....... WTF is going on ..... what is wrong with Miami ?

THE ANSWER might be simple and right in plain sight. and it's an answer no one has talked about.

At some point we don't know when and for some reason we don't know why ...... Richt has LOST THE TEAM.

The players have quit on Richt. No one can tell me that Duke, Virginia, and Boston College have better talent than Miami.... NO WAY !

They are going thru the motions and playing at about 50% .... When watching the replays of these games .... BOOM ..... it will jump out at you and you will see players dogging and giving half-assed effort. The body language tells the story. You can see it if you look for it !

This team is not playing all out for Richt and this is only going to get worse. When a football team loves, trusts, and respects their coach, they will run thru brick walls for the man. I sure would have and anyone thats ever played ball knows what I'm talking about.

No magic will happen here. Like Bones said on Star Trek "IT'S DEAD, JIM"

To your point, there’s often a difference between “talent” and “potential talent”.

If you have stumbled on to an accurate portrayal, it probably is/was a contagious thing. The disenchanted or frustrated anyone-but-malik (or any play-caller but Richt) contingent that we know existed - perhaps was the first to play under potential. Maybe it moved on to less than enthusiastic practice, prep, training, studying and attitude. That would translate to diminished performance on the field; which we did see along with frustration (dumb penalties, body language) and endurance (excessive rotations.)

When the other contingents (Rosier backers or loyal seniors) noted this, they might also "catch" the playing-under-potential malady. So here we are, no magic and no medicine on the horizon, and an ugly losing streak. Ughh.

Yea, everyone knows this.

Its a Rigcht special, losing the team. Managed it many times with talented UGA teams...

Epi .... you could be right ... that would make sense
Seems the wind just came outta the sails then. To be fair tho, I don’t think we’d have seen any different results w perry In the last 3 games.

Team hit its high water mark with a desperate comeback against its rival FSU. The wave crested and broke and the water has been receding ever since.

there used to be great Canes fans on this board that were funny as ****, reasonable and intelligent and appreciated those kinds of threads.

they could get **** eyed drunk and still score 150 on an IQ test.

there are still a few of those around, but not as many as there was.

fans have changed as much as the football team.

It all started in the summer whem he dodged Perry and Williams. It continue on the first game issues between Rozier and Richards and the finla straw was pulling Perry in the Q1 of UVA leaving thecteam hopeless abd defeated. Add the seniority by decree onbthis team and yes he lost the team.

It could be that maybe we just suck. Players suck, corches suck, hydration specialist sucks, AD sucks, This whole bleeping program sucks right now from top to bottom. Flush the toilet and start the f over.

Agree with you. Will kill recruiting this year if host players and others give off this vibe. Not sure how Rick can even look a recruit in the eyes right now and portray any confidence. He looks awful. Hope I'm wrong.
