Mirabal was the voice of reason.

You said it looks like he's trying to get Mario's attention. And the video doesn't reveal that. From the video, it looks like he yelled something in the direction of Mario, the TE coach, Dawson, and the other people in that vicinity. Listen, Dawson should have called for victory formation, and when he didn't Mario should have overruled him. That didn't happen. Mario made the biggest blunder of a head coach in college football history. Miami lost the game. We are 4-1 going into a HUGE matchup against North Carolina. My opinion, and it's just. mine, making **** up or reposting things that have no basis isn't helpful. But, you do you, man.
You have to be a total corchtard to not take a knee
And that is on corchtard Mario for life!

Exactly.

Again, fans loved it when Dawson wanted to put a foot on the throat against aTm and got the 64-yard strike to George on 3rd-and-8.

Of course if that ball is in complete, it's fourth down, Miami punts and Texas A&M gets the ball back with about 2:30 left, two time outs (wouldn't have burned one on incompletion versus a run) and it's a 41-33 game where touchdown and two-point conversion tie it up—but Cristobal gave Dawson the green light to call his shot.
Is this a real analogy? You're comparing the probabilities of winning/losing a game by throwing deep down the sideline on a 3rd and 8 in an 8 point game with over 2 minutes remaining vs kneeling the ball in a game that is effectively won? And, the rationale is "he doesn't back down?" Well, in that case, whenever we win our next game, I hope Dawson keeps the players on the field after 00:00 on the clock and we run gassers or maybe another 25 plays against the scout team D. F it.

From this Full game clip this is what I could find, Looks like he tries to get Mario attention but doesnt look like he does

After watching that… I do believe that Mirabal wanted to Kneel and Cristobal allowed Dawson to run it… even though he didn’t agree.

I remember during the Diaz era when Ed Reed was the Chief of Staff (or whatever the title was) and during a game..Manny wanted to do something crazy and go for it on 4th down inside our own 40 yard line or something crazy like that... and Reed sprinted down the sideline and told him to punt the ball in his ear. And Manny changed his mind, came to his senses and punted.

Part of me feels like Mario needs someone like that on the sidelines to be his "consigliere" and assist with in-game decisions. In the heat of the moment, you need a voice of reason. If an "Ed Reed" type (Ed Orgeron?) had been on that sideline during those final moments, I absolutely think Mario would have knelt. But he has no one like that to check him unforunately.
