Minimum of 10 Power 5 teams every year

You’re suggesting Miami schedule harder while a. Miami hasn’t been able to win 9 games on the regular, and b. No one else in the country is close to do what you are suggesting in this thread.

The schedule should have balance. Nothing wrong with a G5 school to open the season.

I honestly think we shouldn’t play more than 1 G5 team every year. Since most other teams play at least 2 G5 teams, I’ll tolerate it if we play 2 G5 teams. We should never play an FCS team, or 3 G5 teams.

Good lord, we've been over this a dozen times. Playing an FCS opponent is good for all parties. The conferences took on importance for a reason.

Nobody's going to change the entire system so you can see only the matchups you'd prefer.

While bottom tier competition is boring to watch I don’t mind the big boys funding smaller schools entire athletic programs.

Good for the FCS programs maybe. But why is it good for us?

We need to play at least 10 Power 5 teams every season.

Playing 3 non-Power teams is just ridiculous. Especially when we usually play Conference USA and Sun Belt teams (the bottom Group of 5 conferences) for 2 of our non-Power games. And play our third non-power game against a team from the MEAC, which is one of the worst FCS conferences.

And, to cap it all off, we play in the ACC Coastal Division.

We always play down to our opponent.

Having more marquee matchups only helps us (in recruiting, in win column, etc).

It gives first year starters and redshirts an opportunity to get real game experience. We still get revenue from ticket sales and television coverage. It helps keep the FCS structure healthy which helps us with potential transfers.

It’s always seemed to me like an opportunity to get players injured in a win that impresses nobody.

Well, now you know it's more than that. Look at how different our Florida game would have been if the two true freshmen on the O line and JW15 had a better idea of what to expect and had faced real pressure.
