We need to play at least 10 Power 5 teams every season.

Playing 3 non-Power teams is just ridiculous. Especially when we usually play Conference USA and Sun Belt teams (the bottom Group of 5 conferences) for 2 of our non-Power games. And play our third non-power game against a team from the MEAC, which is one of the worst FCS conferences.

And, to cap it all off, we play in the ACC Coastal Division.

UGA plays 10 Power Conference Games. They play Notre Dame and Ga Tech out of conference this year.

And honestly I think Miami should play 11 or even 12 Power conference games. I’m only suggesting 10 because that’s the most PoRsters on here will accept.

Do people that make these threads even look at our future schedules:

2021: Bama and Mich St
2022: A&M and Clemson as a cross-over
2024: ND and UF
2025: ND and UF

4 of the next 6 years our schedule is loaded. 3 of those we easily have the toughest OOC in the country.

We’ve been playing 3 out of conference patsies since about 2013. I didn’t realize that was changing soon.

And Clemson is not an OOC game in 2022. Our OOC games that have been scheduled are Southern Miss and ATM, and the admin will probably add 2 more patsies along with Southern Miss.

In 2023, Temple, Miami of Ohio and ATM have been scheduled. An FCS team will probably be added to finish the OOC schedule.

Bama’s OOC schedule is Duke, New Mexico State, WCU, and Southern Miss.

You’re suggesting Miami schedule harder while a. Miami hasn’t been able to win 9 games on the regular, and b. No one else in the country is close to do what you are suggesting in this thread.

The schedule should have balance. Nothing wrong with a G5 school to open the season.

There are plenty of teams that play 10 Power Conference games.

Stanford is playing 11 power conference games, and their G5 game is vs UCF. Purdue also has 11 Power conference games.

I guess you missed the last 15 years

The 9 Power 5 games, with 2 games against C-USA/Sun Belt teams and the third against a bad FCS team, all while playing in the ACC Coastal, seems like a uniquely atrocious combination to me.

Boring, yes. But when we can't even have a good record against that sh1tshow why in the **** would we schedule ourselves more losses? We're what 4-8 or maybe after Florida 4-9 in recent Power 5 games? And that's with a more talented roster now then alot of those other bad years. Let's just concentrate on meeting expectations for once in nearly 20 years and maybe finding a functional Tackle and QB before we're worried about scheduling more losses

We shouldn’t have an easy schedule just to inflate our win total.

Anyway, Miami actually played 11 power conference teams in the 2010 and 2011 regular seasons. At least if you count games against USF which was a power conference team at the time.
