When we put 100,000 in the seats and have the mega donors Michigan has then we can lay out that kind of money
Most of these colleges our borrowing money for much of their capital Improvements , betting against future earnings. When this economy tanks they will rue the day for their Obama like spending.

I know we are on the cheap side and could afford more, but some this spending is totally irresponsible. It is not like there is a Phil Knight at every corner. We need to step up , but not over the cliff.

Also, I have to wonder if anyone can recruit at Michigan. They never seem to be in the mix for any kids outside of Michigan, which is hardly a great HS football state. Certainly not good enough to substantiate a top college program.

OK, i hate golden, the BOT, the AD, and all that have neglected the program. Truly. And im withdrawing my funding as a result, for whatever little that is worth.

But to even associate Mich rev to miami, with their alum base and stadium with 100k seats makes people look stupid. I think Miami can afford to pay the right staff a lot more, but will never approach Michigan in that regard when they have one of the top 5 revenue programs in all of college sports, over $140million.

Not absolving Miami at all, but don't be dumb in your arguments either.

When Michigan is good, they recruit nationally with the best of them. Always will be in play for the best players in the Northeast and Midwest, and if they are smart they will do what Rich Rod did and come down to Florida and cherry pick some second tier guys that will blow **** up in the Big 10.
