Miami commit will visit Clemson
Three-star cornerback Michael Jackson out of Birmingham (Ala.) Spain Park has been a Miami commit since late October but as signing day approaches, more schools are already starting to circle the long defender. Last week, Jackson landed a new offer and is ready to set up an official visit.

"Clemson, they offered me last Thursday," Jackson said. "I'm taking n official visit up there in January. I like it. It was a school when I was younger I always awanted to go to so it'd be nice to take an officai visit up there."

While he's excited about Clemson, Jackson remains committed to Miami and particularly likes the style of play of the Hurricanes.

"They're pretty good compared to Miami," he said of Clemson. "I like the style of play they play. I just like the style they play in. In Miami it's something different. I like the way the corners press and play man. At Clemson they play more zone."

Jackson plans to visit Miami the weekend of January 24 and Clemson's official visit will likely be the weekend of Jan. 17.

Why did Miami land the Alabama talent in the first place?

"Pretty much when I went to the camp it felt like home and also I have family down there so when I go there they'll get a chance to see me play."

Jackson is ranked as the No. 56 cornerback in the country according to the 247Sports Composite rankings

Its new to me that our corners press and play man. **** our coaching staff is a bunch of liars

This guy is a decent prospect. He seems to do things correctly. Good size, seems physical enough. He's not particularly twitchy; doesn't seem to be a blazer. He does have good hips. It looks like he has enough springs and length to make up for any lack in speed. He fits our new single high system.

Cover 3/1 corners are essentially deep zone players. The only help they get is underneath or in the middle of the field. Bigger corners are better suited in this system, as they don't need to have the agility to regularly play press man, read 2 techniques, or read flat techniques; and larger defensive backs are generally better deep ball defenders. Also, depending on our run fits in cover 1, a properly spilled man blocking run will always get pushed out to the corner--he's gotta be a primary run defender.

I'm not even sure what to say here smh...

"I like the way the corners press and play man. At CLEMSON they play more zone."

What ******* game has he been watching & what ****** at CLEMSON told him this?

I actually think hes got it backwards. I dont keep up with Clemson but i know Bent Venables is a smart guy and they have a pass rush and they use that to their DBs advantage letting them play man and press

Spain Park defensive back might not have gotten as much ink as some of Hoover Bucs defensive stars, but the future Miami Hurricane showed off his skills in front of a TV audience in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.

Jackson made 12 tackles including one for a loss to lead the Alabama team to its seventh straight win in the series.

Jackson led an Alabama defense that didn’t allow a second-half touchdown

I'm not happy about the state of the program, but to say **** just to say **** is dumb. Especially since this same guy said the exact same thing in other threads ie see scarlett thread.
