Miami will struggle becoming elite..

It takes time to build the kind of depth we need to offset players leaving early and put us on the same level as Clemson. We'll get there.

Yeah, but the difference is that Miami isn't losing top level players early like Bama, Ohio State*, and Clemson.

Miami is losing guys early that go in the late rounds or go undrafted. It's ridiculous.

Even better. They're easily replaced.

All ACC players are not “easily replaced.” Next year, we will have Bandy, Young, and Dean as our experienced corners. That’s terrible depth.

Yup and this year we had Young as the only returnee with experience. You don't build depth in one recruiting cycle. It takes a little while.
Besides, what team in college football regularly returns four experienced corners every year? It's impossible. Even if nobody leaves early.

Look, I'm not saying I think jackson should leave. I think he'd be smart to stick around another season. All I'm saying is the "woe is me, Miami can't ever get good if players leave early" mindset is complete garbage.

What are you even talking about? No clue where you’re going with this post. The “mindset” is complete garbage because....?

How do you suppose Miami gets out of the cycle of needing to recruit transfers and JUCO kids if Miami can hardly get any marginally draftable kids to stay for 4 years?

The mindset is complete garbage because top programs are always going to lose players early to the draft. Do you think Alabama and Clemson only started losing kids early to the draft once they had enough depth for it not to impact them? Like all of the sudden the coaches there were like "Ok guys, we've had enough top recruiting classes to fill your spots so now all of you can leave early if you want." Nope, they lost kids early to the draft and worked on filling those spots by recruiting.

Also, you're making it seem like every single kid who's been here for three years is leaving. We're looking at three maybe four players declaring early. Take a look at other top teams around the country and see how many underclassmen are declaring.

Miami will struggle to become elite if its backyard gets plucked by top schools simple, its always been that way. Get the best players in sfla and u will win, if u dont u lose simple

Right... it's like the stock market. If you are making good investments today with good vetted stocks, in the long run you win.

Its always been pretty simple, get the top elite savages of sfla and win. Dont get them and u get fired like Radio and Grodlen

What players did Alabama and Clemson lose to the draft who were drafted after round 4? Serious question. You seem to know. The list of top Alabama players who returned for their senior years is quite long.

I’m “making it seem” as if almost every borderline draftable kid is leaving or at least thinking about it, which is true.

When guys make it to the league it HELPS recruiting in the long run
- Sure might hurt some years based on who leaves and what your depth is at that position
- But kids want to go somewhere that help they get a contract in the NFL - end of story

Smh. Is it the off season already? The sissy post already coming out the closet kitty litter all over the got dam place. One muthafuka said its harder to take a **** in the winter? Man gtfoh. If you're HC is doing what he supposed to do none of this chit matters. Some guys will leave and some will stay but the head man will keep the chit rolling p[lain and simple.
