****Miami vs. Ole Miss ACC/SEC CHALLENGE GAME THREAD****

Except he's not 'raw' in the sense that he's pretty crafty down low when he gets touches and tends to finish in close. The issue more is that he probably couldn't jump over a phone book and has the spatial awareness of a toddler.
You're seeing more "crafty moves" when he gets the ball down low than I am.

Also, I dared to hope he might bring a little bit more of a short-to-intermediate range jump shot with him. Maybe like a very poor man's Julian Gamble developed here 10 yrs or so ago.

What shots/moves are in his wheelhouse at this stage of development, other than jams and layups? Does he have that short jumper? Or a hook shot of any kind?

You mentioned spatial awareness as lacking. Hard to execute inside moves without that.

From pre-season reading, I knew Altuntas was raw in terms of his offense. Maybe not quite this raw though. As you say, he has other ways to contribute.
I’m seeing the same thing you are. I’m staying positive because I’ve seen worse turn it around. He can do it. Jai obviously saw something in him so I trust him. Trust me there have been about a few dozen Altuntas posts that I didn’t hit send on. The dude is busting his *** out there and he is getting better so I don’t want to just hate on the dude. I saw his tape. I didn’t think he would be this uncomfortable but like I said, I’ve seen worse turn it around.

My bad if it's already been answered, but does anybody know why the Allen's didn't play?
