The University of Miami football team is preparing for a highly anticipated clash with the University of Florida at Hard Rock Stadium. Ticket demand has been strong throughout the week, and fans are expected to pack the stands for a premier rivalry show down.

Miami supporters created a memorable atmosphere earlier this year when the Hurricanes hosted Notre Dame, and a similar turnout is expected when the Gators come to town. Fans can secure seats starting at $100 through the Miami Athletics...

Looks like the school lowered the price on some of the upper bowl tickets.
I thought this would happen, I think that's a good thing.

A family of four should be able to at least afford to get in the stadium and enjoy this game. Even though tickets are reasonably affordable it's still hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

But, let's watch the Canes put a beating on the Gators.

Did we ultimately sell out BCC and USF too even if attendance was a bit lower?
Neither of those was announced as an official sell-out, although USF must have been very close.

The announced attendance so far has been:
Notre Dame - 66,793
Bethune - 60,617
USF - 66,591

The official capacity at Hard Rock is 65,326, so we've been over that twice. I have a feeling tomorrow will be the highest attendance yet.

It’s the single biggest hindrance to the program. No solution for it but sustained winning. But if we can’t sell out against UF with a top five team and a real chance to beat the brakes off them, idk what we’re doing. But I get it. It’s hard to ask some working dad to spend $1000 to take his family to see a team that’s shown up about 60% of the time over the years.

I'd really be interested to hear how those in Dade/Broward/PB characterize/evaluate UM's marketing efforts towards convincing t-shirt fans to spend money on tickets.

What's the percentage in attendance at JRS of students/alums and their family members vs. those without direct ties to the university? Would those percentages be higher or lower than at an FSU or UF?

After two decades of ups and downs and (and now our present day up) is UM truly South Florida's No. 1 college football team or do we have more of a niche following?

Should selling out a 66k-seat stadium for a huge rival be a layup every time or is that out of reach for even the best promotional tactics?

Non-existent. They could do so much better of a job marketing games like this.

Notre Dame - 66,793
Bethune - 60,617
USF - 66,591

My guess as to actual attendance:

Notre Dame - 63,000
Bethune - 40,000
USF: 50,000

My guess for Florida is between 55,000 - 60,000

Were you there? ND was full. Bethune had closer to 50 than 40. USF had high 50s before the rain delay. It will be full tomorrow.

Will ticket prices drop more by tomorrow or should I just buy them tonight? It’s 4 of us.

Probably as cheap as they’re gonna get on the UM site, cheapest are $125. Secondary markets are currently starting at about $135.
