University of Miami student-athletes set a department record by posting a 3.40 grade point average for the Fall 2025 semester.

For the first time ever, all 18 Hurricanes programs exceeded the 3.0 mark in a single semester. Miami’s cumulative GPA was 3.37, marking the 23rd consecutive semester its student-athletes posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

That's a great achievement. I would be interested in how our 3.19 GPA in football compares nationally among other P4 programs.

I would imagine that would put us into the top 8 or so, the only programs I would think that emphasize academics more would be Northwestern, Duke, Stanford and Cal. I would think other programs that would be similar in GPA to Miami would be USC, Michigan, UVA, UNC, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Purdue, UCLA and Illinois.

I know we hate them, but I’m pretty sure Notre Dame is up there too.
