Thanks to their win last weekend, the Miami Hurricanes not only opened the season 1-0 but also covered the 2.5-point spread against Notre Dame. Now, heading into Week 2, the Canes are massive favorites against Bethune-Cookman. Miami opened as a 41-point favorite, with the total set at 56.

Bethune-Cookman comes in after a rough outing in Week Zero, losing 42-9 to FIU as 28.5-point underdogs. The Wildcats trailed 28-6 at halftime and gave up 456 total yards of offense.

This is not a fair game, why does BC keep doing this? It probably demoralizes their players more than anything.. There is no gain other than a financial one.

Didn't watch the game but I looked at the FIU v Bethune box score and how on earth did Bethune only score 9 points but had 350 total yards, averaged 5 yards per play and only had 1 turnover lol
 
There's something else: It's not just that we are paying Bethune north of a million dollars to come play us. It's also that Bethune may have talent on it that Mario may spot in a game environment that he may want to come play for us that was overlooked in initial recruiting drafts over the past year or two. In a game environment one or two guys may stand out who deserve promotion to Division I and this gives Cristobal a chance not only to look at our guys and work them out, but to look at theirs and offer a transfer through the Portal.
