Miami Must Be Dialed In When USF Comes to Hard Rock

"close" for a half...mainly because they will chew up the clock a touch. I could see like 17-10. And you look at stats and go "Why does it feel like we should be up 17.

We shouldnt look past them but they are solid. But joking and Florida hate aside USF didnt really do anything on offense until the end. So we should pull away and win a 31-13 type game...maybe 31-20 they get a late one. This will be another good test though to us a scrambling QB. They had that scrappy WR who killed us last year....other than even last year they did nothing.

Beck averaging over 11 yards per completion and over 76% on completion percentage (including both games). I said it before the beginning of this year…this is the money year for him and he knows it. Also, he truly seems to love this team, coaches and players. Hetherman got this D dialed in, but I see improvement each game. Next 3 games will tell us a lot.
 
Anyone who actually watched, or at least saw the box score of Florida v Long Island would've known that Florida was going to struggle with USF. Florida allowed 11 TFLs to Long Island. ELEVEN. They allowed 7 to USF. That Florida OLine, that for some reason was being hyped as one of the best in CFB, is terrible and USF has some decent athletes on the DLine. Miami will physically dominate and overwhelm in the trenches, just like we did to ND. Might be within 10 points going into halftime, but will pullaway late. 34-10 Miami.

This is true of most of the entertaining trash talkers (Lane Kiffin, Steve Spurrier, etc.). They've got burns for days until they get punched in the mouth. Then they're softer than baby ****.

If we think USF is a threat if we don’t bring our A game, then alot of you need to dial down expectations for the season.

That said, I’m not one of them. We are too big and physical on offense and our defense is much better than last year, especially with the health and/or improvement of our DEs. I expect us to shut down USF run game in the same way we did ND and then our secondary to get a couple picks as the game goes on.

I don’t see a scenario where USF keeps it close, even if we put forth C level effort (and we won’t). Score approaches what it was last year.

Exactly. All this “we are going to roll the **** out of them”…..crap…..I expect, or so I pray, we will come in prepared to play USF like they are Ohio Taint

We have a completely different defense with different players and coaches. I don't like it when fans say, "We always have problems with a QB who can run." as though we've had the same players and coaches for a decade.

I didn't like the comment from Hetherman after the ND game when he said they didn't expect ND's QB Carr to run. He should have expected Micheny to play, who he is more of a runner than Carr. Therefore, he should have been prepared and called the same defenses for Micheny when Carr started running.

I expect Hetherman to be fully prepared for USF.

I have 41-17. The same beatdown we gave the Gator.
 
This will be a tough game. USF is very well coached and playing with a lot of confidence. We need to get an early lead and maintain. No way I am touching an 18-point spread. I had USF beating Florida last week on a ticket.
