  • Include the addition of Jarrid Williams. 247Sports has yet to provide updated transfer grading for Williams, so we're going with his original rating
  • Includes the transfer ratings of D'Eriq King and Quincy Roche, who are both now classified as 4 star players

On paper, this is the strongest team since 2009.

1 qb in 2009?????

Yes. Cannon Smith and Taylor Cook both transferred out right before the season. And Robert Marve had recently been kicked out of school.

Jacory Harris was the only QB on the roster, with AJ Highsmith technically the backup, although everybody knew he’d eventually move to Safety.

If I remember correctly, AJ Highsmith (a QB in high school) was signed and intended to be a DB. But after the mass exodus in the offseason at quarterback (Robert Marve transferred after the end of the 2008 season, Taylor Cook and Cannon Smith transferred in Aug 2009), Miami was left with just one QB. Highsmith was moved to QB. So I guess technically it was 2 quarterbacks.

I would still say it was only one QB. AJ never played a snap. Even when Jacory got hit and was out for a play or two, instead of putting AJ in, they just went to the wildcat.

The reality we went 6-7 last year is rough to accept.
That 5-star trend sucks to see, by the way.
