Offensively, we have come alive to some extent in the last three weeks. Whereas we at were at one point dead last in total points scored, the 2021 Hurricanes now move up to the 12th best scoring team over the last twenty five seasons. By a slim margin, this is Manny Diaz's highest scoring team. Still, the offensive output of Mark Richt's Hurricanes squads beats the 2021 Canes.
Defensively, we have not improved. Only the 2012 Hurricanes - a team crewed mostly by freshmen - were worse. Even the probation-riddled 1997 Hurricanes gave up less points per game.
