Looks like Hall is officially ahead of Knowles at FS

Yeah I’m starting to think more and more we won’t know who the starting QB is until game day

But really is the game plan any different for the 3? They can all run if the field is open. Martell probably plays out of the shotgun more

Yes. Every QB has different quirks and tendencies. UF coaches would definitely rather focus on film for one guy.

There IS no film for Williams or Martell. Neither have played (Martell barely any snaps in a totally different system)

And Perry played in an entirely different O last year.

No need for foolishness. Name the QB so the team can prepare correctly

"During the Hurricanes glory years, practices were often tougher than games. It’s going to take a long time for Miami to get back to that level."

It's difficult for me to believe this statement is for real; the implication being that the preceding teams, and perhaps this one too, have not routinely had practices that were tougher than games . . .

Everyone keeps comparing us to ourselves meaning that 2000-2003 run of **** near 20 first rounders and half the **** team going to the league. So yeah, that will never happen again, for ANY team EVER. I hate it when media types bring up that era like we should be ashamed of ourselves that we cannot duplicate that. Even the 86-89 run will be tough to duplicate. That 1988 schedule would go down as the top 5 hardest schedules in NCAA history.

I think we can compete at a national level and get to the point where our practices are tougher then our games because once we hit our stride we are going to wipe our a$$ with the ACC coastal on a yearly basis and the race to the college playoff will be decided between us and Clemson or FSU (if they ever get back) Those are the facts. And that is good enough for me. I'm not trying to chase ghosts anymore. I'm done with that line of thinking.

Agreed. But if anyone one thinks we are going to get back to the national level and THEN the practices will be tougher then our games . . . well, you know how that's gonna work . . .

Well I for one loved what Many had to say. We set sail for the 2019 season and not everyone is invited on the boat.
They will have to earn it. I'm trying to temper my excitement but it just feels different this time around, and for the better.

They can name the qb without telling the public. They can pick a qb and spend the next 2 weeks getting ready and just let the public find out on gameday.

The importance in naming a number one is to get the offense used to one cadence and other tendencies. Blocking schemes differ between, say Williams and Martell. Need the OL to be cohesive and all move at the snap and that happens getting used to one QB.

I just looked at the Miami Hurricanes schedule this year and I realized something. We always start off the season with a practice team.
