REPORT: Miami finalizing home and home football series with Texas A&M - State of The U
Jimmy Johnson was on Lebatard's Show this morning discussing how Miami's schedule was different and difficult in the 80's. Miami played a minimum of 6-7 ranked opponents. I can't stress enough how important it is for Miami to schedule competition like Texas A&M. Why you may ask? The playoff committee takes into serious account how strong and weak the schedules are for teams contending for a title. Also, should Miami lose a game, a strong schedule puts us in position to stay in the run for the playoffs. Secondly, these games help recruiting. Kids come to Miami to play these big games. In this case, it helps us with kids from Texas. Thirdly, it helps selling tickets. I hope we continue scheduling the best of the best.
