With the current state of our program being 10 years in the toilet and not looking like it'll be pulled out any time soon, I feel we should discuss which of the catchphrases that should be retired from fan lexicon. I'll start:
"The U invented swagger" - While we may have done this plenty of other teams have cornered the market on swagger, and we are now KMart. Slowly closing stores with 40% off discounts.
"We them boys (We dem boyz)" - No we're not.
"Gators keep avoiding us." - It's called quarantine.
"The U is back!" - We didn't go anywhere. We are just an average team now. Since 2004 we have been 84-54 (assuming we win out the year at 8-4 + a bowl win), that is an average of 7.64-4.91. Under Golden we are 7.75-4.75, so mathematically Golden is running the same 8-5 record average in his four years as Coker (average 8.33-4) and is doing better than Shannon (7-5). Nevermind...The U is Back!
