When I was getting recruited, I wasn’t considering any Adidas school lol 🤷🏿‍♂️…glad we’re back with Nike.

He has been saying for months and months that Miami would stay with Adidas. He was smug with it too

Yep. Smug and overly certain.

Even at my darkest moment, when I started to acknowledge that "the cake was baked" and adidas was almost a certainty, I still had things at 90-10 adidas vs. Nike.

Peter Ariz gave adidas a 150% chance of getting to the second contract.

From what I understood that font was exclusive to Nike… Adidas couldn’t use it. I can’t remember who, but there was another school Nike toyed using the font with after our departure but it’s really ours. It’s unique and there should be no issue putting it back in play.
The replica throwbacks from Adidas do use the 01 font, so I don’t think it’s owned by Nike more so Adidas was refusing to use it because it was tied to Nike (for good reason). Think it was more so us moving on. Time to rekindle that old flame.

Without going into explicit details, I’m going to say Nike is the parent company, but Jordan is its own entity. It’s no different than Converse being its own entity albeit Nike is the parent.

The reason y UF, OU, etc receive both Jordan & Nike is b/c these schools r Jordan branded for their football & basketball programs, only.

There’s an infamous story about Harrison Barnes getting in trouble for wearing Kobe’s on the court instead of Jordan. Y? B/c the basketball team is a Jordan Brand, not Nike. It may sound like semantics, but it’s not.
Well then I want Jordan Brand for football and basketball!!!!

I am waiting to buy a Malachi Toney #1 jersey until Summer 2027...
