Both Miami and OSU got 9 revoked, and yet both programs as light years apart from each other...

2011
But instead of accepting Ohio State's self-imposed penalties, which included vacating the 2010 season, returning bowl game revenue and applying a reduction of five scholarships over the next three years, the NCAA committee on infractions added some punishment of its own. The Buckeyes won't be eligible to play for a conference championship or in a bowl game in new coach Urban Meyer's first season in 2012, and they'll lose three scholarships in each of the next three seasons.

2013
Miami will not face any additional bowl bans, clearing the way for the No. 7 Hurricanes (6-0) to participate in the postseason this year. Miami will lose nine scholarships total over the next three years, and the entire athletic program has been placed on three years' probation.

Something different about Miami's scholarship losses, in that they were far more sever of a loss than OSU's?

Look at the previous four years prior to their investigation though? Huge difference with them only losing 1/2 games a year with us losing 3-6. OSUs foundation much more solid.

Negged.

***** please. With poor coaching they looked so bad Al beat them. New leadership and they run **** WHILE dealing with the same sanctions. 6-7 in year four and you talking this solid foundation ****?

If Al can't beat teams that finish with less than 5 losses come year end, how is he going to ever build a foundation here?

We got a solid foundation of failure, scapegoating, denial, and car salesmanship.

And in Goldens first year, OSU* didn't even have a program. That's how quickly a terrible coach destroys a program and a good one imrpoves it.

OSU went from 6-7 with fickell to 12-0 with urban and the same players, same could happen here

OSU went 6-7 and didn't retain their coach? WTF is that? Haven't they ever heard of continuity?

Ran by a coach that had no head coaching experience and replaced with a coach that had previously won a national championship. Hmmm....

OSU should have played for a title too. Is there a bigger punishment?

Sure they missed on playing in the national championship game, but that was also spun in a positive light too. So other than financially the punishment wasn't as detrimental as 2+ years of people calling for the death penalty.

Our penalty was only the same as OSU because the NCAA f'd up the investigation to the Nth degree.
