Quick post-game update following Miami's 28-31 defeat to Florida State:

Points For: This is Miami's 9th most prolific offense in the last twenty five years. Since Van Dyke took over, the offense is averaging nearly 34 points per game in Power 5 contests.

Points Allowed: Last week the 2021 Hurricanes ranked the worst over the last 25 years; yesterday's performance actually bumped them behind the 2012 squad as the second most generous of the last twenty five years.

Florida State: In their last 21 encounters with Miami, only six times has the margin of victory been above one touchdown for either team. Six of the last eight matches have seen the margin of victory as 5 points or less.

Additional fun facts: Miami has more wins in the last five years and last ten years than the Texas Longhorns. Miami may have a near historically generous defense this season, but out here in Austin the Longhorns are faring far worse. The 36 points given up per game (Canes are 31/ppg presently) is the worst the Longhorns have seen since at least 1996.
