Using Central Florida logic (being #1 by any selector), Miami has 9 National Championships. 2001, 2000, 1991, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1987, 1986, 1983

I didn’t see where a major selector had Miami #1. Could have missed it though.add 2002.
im taking the year with ohio state. we legit could and should have had 3 titles in a rowI didn’t see where a major selector had Miami #1. Could have missed it though.
I'd throw in 2018. The plays we're there, apparently, we just didn't execute.
Well played
There’s a bunch of factors but the main one being markets. ACC basically has all of Florida covered between Miami and FSU. Same reason Big 10 took Rutgers and Maryland, to expand into the NY/NJ and Mid Atlantic markets. Big 12 is out of the way for UCF but football wise they’d be a natural fit and there really would be a Big 4 in the state in the event that ever occurs.I have asked on here before, why can't they join ACC ? They are a huge school, have money, its in their neck of the woods, what's it take to qualify or get in. The B12 is a long way off no ? Mack Brown basically kept TCU and GP out of B12 for years, didn't want to have to play them every year, couldn't beat them, and he knew it. Finally he was over ruled they got in and kicked his *** anyway, but all that was hush hush here in Texas, never had a lot of respect for MB, let's see how he does at UNC without the gazillion dollars behind him and pretty much any kid in Texas he wants. Now he's on a level playing field, we need to kick his *** next year
Nice avi SimplyI'd throw in 2018. The plays we're there, apparently, we just didn't execute.
