Miami 15th in ap poll

I tend to agree, we haven't proved much of anything yet. That said, who has? Are there more than 14 teams that have proven they deserve to be in front of us? Maybe, but I don't think so.

The original comment was about UGA v. Miami. Who is talking about the rest of the teams?

Me. I am. But since you want to focus, I think it's fair to assume (for now) that uga is slightly better than Miami based on strength of schedule. Look, it's an opinion thing: do narrow wins over average opponents outweigh stomping of inferior opponents? In this case voters say yes, and until we play some better teams I'm not sure their wrong.

UGA is lucky to be undefeated, Id love to see a Um vs UGA bowl game, Richt would come out unleashing **** on his former team

I'm sure a lot of people would love that matchup, and will try to make it happen. I'd like us to aim a little higher.

I want us aiming higher as well

What exactly has UGA done? They were in a death struggle with an FCS team that just beat Immaculate Conception by 7 points. And they should have lost to a horrific bottom dwelling Missouri team. They beat one decent team in a sloppy game.

I am not saying that they have done anything special. I am just saying they beat 2 P5 teams and we beat none.

Missouri, UNC and Nichols > FAU, FAMU and App State

Their 3 opponents were more challenging, to some degree, than our 3 games.

App St would beat Nichols

I don't disagree but that wasn't my point. My point was that those 3 (overall) are better than the 3 we played.

Even if this is true, it's a marginal difference as I'd take App. St. over Mizzou. The fact of the matter is UGA struggled and did not look impressive at all. This isn't the NFL where style-points don't matter. Without the added bump UGA gets just for being in the SEC, Miami is ahead of them comfortably.

There's no rhyme or reason for any rankings right now.

Texas went from unranked to #11 after squeaking by a terrible notre Dame team in double overtime at home!

Talk about madness, then they lose to an average team and are still ranked.

The next month of games will sort out the madness when voters have more to go off of

There is a rhyme and a reason, RATINGS. Texas moving up the way they did shows just how thirsty the networks are to have the CFL "blue-bloods" relevant.

Again, they beat UNC. Their SOS is more difficult (https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other). Yes, they haven't looked good against two sub-par teams (Missouri and Nichols) but we haven't beaten anyone with a pulse (even though we beat the chit out of those teams).

I don't think the difference (in terms of resume to date) is that great either.
