McIntosh announces via Instagram...good luck

Maybe try Milo at DT next year? Big kid pushing 300 lbs, will be there in the spring so almost like an EE. Getting recruited over on the OL and its obviously not working. He has some athleticism (played basketball in HS), known for having somewhat of a mean streak (kicked a kids *** in the middle of a basketball game in HS), and he played some DT at Chaminade.

Either he leaves and we might not fill the scolly or he stays and is scout team OL. DT is a little easier to learn than OL, especially with Kool who has taken nobodies and made them all-conference before, DPOY, All-American, and draft picks.

Just a thought. I like the idea of Milo at DT more than Tre Johnson.

If he had a mean streak, he'd have played here. His mean streak consisted of walloping a kid 100 pounds smaller than him.

Im assuming you know who is on the team and who we are recruiting. It ain’t perfect but it sure as **** ain’t rebuilding. I think some hungry pups on dline and a respectable offense will make our defense better than this past years D. Not to mention improvements on S/T which was atrocious and also hurt our D big time. We are not gonna be deep at dline no doubt. We ain’t rebuilding we are improving.
We lost Moten as well. Hungry pups? They better are and grow up in a hurry. Depth chart is miserable. Everything on D starts with the tackles up front and you need a couple of years to get your body ready for the college level, that won't happen overnight.

It is what it is, and I wish them both good luck at the next level, but I am not delusional. A better D than in2017 will be a tough task.

Apparently his problem here has a lot to do with not understanding his assignment and the blocking schemes. Searles alluded to that when he was at tackle and that's why they moved him to guard, apparently they thought it would be easier for him but it hasn't worked out.

With how bad our OL has been since he's been here you're probably right. **** just give it a shot in the spring, if it doesn't work out he can pack up and go out west somewhere.

I’ve been considering these guys gone since the beginning of the season. I was honestly surprised there was this late talk of them considering coming back.

It’s two seasons in, but we can’t be in this situation depth wise in the future. Not giving the coaches a pass, because we should have added more DTs last season and this cycle, but let this be the last one.

As far as this season we ne’ll need to scheme, and lineback our way out of it.

I wish they came back but time to move on. I don’t think either one of them played great. Not even close to our DT legacy. They are replaceable imo. I think we all agree Backers and secondary will be better. S/T has nowhere to go but up and offense has got to be better with a power 5 QB. If we are not better in those areas then we wouldn’t be much better if they both had stayed.

Think that they would have learned from Kaaya, especially with this being a good year for DT, they threw away a lot of money leaving early, as well as a college diploma.

Lol yeah Kaaya Is a perfect example right??

Hope RJ tears it up in the NFL. One cane's fate doesn't dictate another's. If he puts in the hard work and effort he put here, he shouldn't have any issue finding his place in the next level.

Don’t have permission to post new topic for some reason but Matt Doherty just followed Calvin Anderson LT from Rice grad transfer 6’5 305 grades out at 98.1 on pass blocking

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He is Texas longhorns bound, he is from. Austin and Herman said he wants a grad transfer OL. So unless UT finds someone better, this young man is going home.

I think he's already packing his dreidel and heading out of town. This dude isn't athlete enough or footballish enough to play DT at this level.

Losing these 2 hurts on more levels than 1. If we don't have replacements(which we don't) that kills our LB play and everything. If Willis has one moment of weakness he will be gone to man we are in a tough spot. Hopefully Ford and Bethel are busting their chops this offseason because they are going to leaned on heavily

It's official!
2018 = rebuilding year on defense.

Rumor up here in tigertown is Christian Wilkins is coming back to school.

I’m flabbergasted if true.

He gets to play grab-*** in their locker room for another year. Gheys aren't looked upon kindly in the pros.
