Offensive genius supposedly. I'd be nervous, if I was a Gator fan, about this hire for the long term.

Gator AD forked up a boatload of cash to buy him out of Colorado State too......

I think Muschamp 2.0 would be more likely, considering Muschamp had a comparable first year. Jury is still out though, horse teeth showed some promise and he's got a pretty solid recruiting class coming in. Definitely wouldn't write him off yet, Treon is a bad qb and I wanna see what he can do with someone else.

I think he's fine - he just has had sh1tty QBs. HArris is a disaster and Grier is horribly overrated.

Ice Harris whole family came to the U but he couldn't get Treon to come here and be a WR/Db...? The****outtahere

How can you be mad after seeing him stink up the Gators...I think he purposely planted his son in UF as a bomb to their program LOL...

But anyways, this has nothing to do with the topic.

Jimmy is a corch, but like AUcane said, doesn't help that he had no QB....Regardless, he looked like Golden this year because he had plenty of time to adjust to Treon as a starter and mold the offense around his strengths....or at least replace him with someone who doesn't throw 2 picks a game

Didn't that yellow buck toothed hick McEltooth claim that he could coach up his dog to play QB? I guess Treon isn't as good as his dog.

Team has been completely different since their qb got suspended for PED's. Also got pretty lucky those first 6 games. Since then, they have the worst offense in fbs.

At least he won 10 games. Something Fat Albert could never accomplish here. Let's see how it plays out in the next few years. Hopefully it's more misery for the turds.

He walked into a god awful ol and qb situation , IMO he did a lot better than most expected .

I'm still not 100 % sold , I normally wait a couple years before I judge a coach

Lots of close wins for the Gates this year. Got lucky a lot. Happy to see them suck raw eggs today. I think McElwain will be average at best up there.

Here's to hoping for eternal Garor sucktitude!

I think it's the same though...he walked into a good situation...just needed the offense to be decent to win the SEC East and thats what he initially had...Golden walked into a **** hole team with neither an elite offense/defense and managed to scrape up 9 wins with Duke injured for half the season and Morris playing on a bad ankle.
Edit: If Duke doesn't get injured he prolly would have won 10 games that year (would have beat duke or VT)

lol @ comparing him to Al Golden

McElwain isn't a great coach, or maybe isn't even a good coach, but he's in a different class of coach than Golden.

Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in all of football, at any level. He will have Michigan in the playoffs in a year or two.

They seemed to get on a roll with Grier. I think once he gets a decent qb he will do fine. But we shall see how he recruits defensively once Muschamp's guys are gone.
