Maybe its time to re-evaluate Jon Richt

IMHO He/they got a lot out of 12 last year...they got him to play above his head at times and covered a lot of pimples. Looks to me like they’ve done a nice job w Perry and didn’t succumb to the fans by throwing him out there to soon.

I don't know, seems like it is Mark Richt who is steering that ship. When Kosi comes to the sideline I always see him talk to CMR.
Is Jon Richt on the sidelines or upstairs in the box?

Pretty sure he’s in the box, which would explain that. I’m certain Kosi is talking to him on the headset, though.

Jon's mediocre, with a really iffy resume. Frankly, there shouldn't be another voice between the play caller and the QBs. Hence why the OC and the QB coach is usually the same guy. Honestly, Jon belongs in the front office somewhere, he isn't the kind of guy that belongs as a coach at a place like Miami. Replace him with a legit offensive mind that can help Mark, and take some of the gameplan stress off of him. Too many glorified grad assistants running around on the field. Patke and Richt Jr. are taking up space, those spots should go to more accomplished coaches. Or youngsters that have shown far more than what those two have.

Patke's striker unit has been the single most important position responsible for correcting our biggest defensive liability from last season; 3rd down conversion rate. We have gone from dead last in FBS in that stat to first in a single off season and that has been almost entirely due to the 3rd down play of the striker position. The only people calling for Patke's job are the people who were against him being hired, and are still basing that opinion solely on his lack of resume rather than the on field results of the position he coaches.

Diaz realized that we needed to introduce the striker position to better equip us to deal with the many spread offenses we face in the ACC, and it was so important to our success or failure that it deserved it's own dedicated coach.

The results so far indicate that the right man was hired.

Bottom line: Miami doesn’t have the money to hire top of the line coaches. So we full a spot with a cheap guy and have the HC OC and QB coach all in one
