Maybe its time to re-evaluate Jon Richt

I keep saying you cant judge a coach on a QB who no one thought would play here....Rosier, and a redshirt FR who started 2 games. I don't care if he's Richt's son or not, I don't think that is a fair sample size. If i start seeing regression from Perry and the other QBs are not ready to pick up the slack then i will be like any other fan and say yes we need a change. At this time, its way too soon to say. In my opinion. Ideally you would have hoped Kaaya would have stayed last season and that would have help Perry and Weldon more than learning from Rosier with all due respect. It is what it is. The coaches job to coach them up

Facts. I tell dudes all the time rosier was never supposed to play.

Who cares? He isn’t going anywhere so what’s the point of debating the issue, good or bad?

Jon Richt needs to be evaluated just as much as Searles. 50% of the problem with this offense is QB's missing wide open receivers, and thats not a play calling issue. I'm not talking about missing as in making a bad throw. I'm talking about Kosi/Rosier having their back turned to guys running wide open down the field or in the flats. That's not a talent issue, that's a coaching issue.

Still too early I’m afraid to say. We’ll know more as the season progresses and especially when it’s Spring and Fall camp 2019. Has Perry regressed or progressed? Can Richt open up the offense more after putting more on Perry’s plate? Those questions haven’t been answered yet so I’m taking a wait and see with Jon. Searles should be more on the hot seat for completely ******** up starting the wrong OL set. Now after 5 games I believe we have it correct but still, why did it take so long? Even with a promise to ND I would’ve pulled that experiment after the LSU game when it was painfully clear he has no business at RT much less even sniffing LT. We should be straight up with kids instead of risking losses, or taking them, in part because of recruiting promises.

Tbh, technically both kids who have lined up look well taught to know the system. Problem with 12 was inaccuracey and the problem with 5 is youth

No. Malik was/is a disaster and Kosi wasn't ready to start the season. Not only that, but I don't think any of us have a real grasp on how much of the impact is from pops vs. him.

The fact of the matter is he got his job through nepotism and his dad is one of the best QB coaches in the business right now (on paper at least). He also missed our #1 overall QB recruit despite visiting him something like 5 times in 6 weeks.

Bottom line is if he doesn't recruit at an elite level he's always subject to reasonable skepticism/criticism.

Sounds a lot like Kendal Briles and everyone wants him as OC. Also similar to Lane Kiffin story. Kids getting a job because of their dads happens every day. Let's give him time to see if earn the right to keep the job.

I'm actually surprised at how well the Richt's have done leading N'Kosi along in the middle of the season without him flipping over the handlebars. He has the tools to really shred defenses as he matures but limiting his mistakes early on and winning games has to count for something.

Also, a lot of teams would have trouble selling a recruit on coming here to sit behind what will be three veteran QB's. It sucks but the depth chart is not spread out well at that position in terms of incoming year. If Perry continues to improve down the stretch, that will be a sign. It's a good thing he's no pu$$y either because our Oline won't be where it should be for at least another year.

I'm still waiting on Perry to drop his rookie card and make some mistakes. I love that we found our QB but some adversity will head his way on one of these road games coming up.

Jury still out.

Jon is up in the box.

Then, in between possessions, why the **** wasn't Perry told to climb over the railing, scale the steps to the press box and confer with Jon Richt? Or, why didn't J. Richt sprint down to the sidelines in between possessions, coach Perry up, and then sprint back to the press box? Lazy? I think so!

Yes, J. Richt could have called down to Perry via the headset connected to the UM coaches/sidelines and conferred with him, but who the **** does that?

The above is yet more reasons that J. Richt should be immediately fired, all of his belonging heaved out on U.S. 1, and his father and mother must publicly and forcefully disown him, along with confessing that their son is the worst coach in the history of organized football!! Go Canes!
