Richt bought Jon's position when he donated to the IPF. That's all that was. Read my post history. I ***** about Jon more than anyone on this board and I would love to see him demoted. But even I know its a lost cause. Flat out not happening. Richt knows he's Jon's only hope at a career in coaching. If he demotes Jon he knows its all over. Nobody would want to hire Jon after his time here and Richt knows that if he ever does demote him (an admission that Jon needed to be demoted), the fans would revolt if he ever tried to move Jon back up. So he can't fire or demote Jon or thats that.
 
At this point, hiring an OC is a mandatory move, if for no other reason than to avoid the onslaught of ****ed off fans raining down on Blake
James' head next season. Last time everyone gave Blake James a pass because we all knew how donna ruled the roost. This time he has zero cover. It will be his name flying on banners next fall; Ball's in his court.
 
might keep in mind a new S&C coach as well. again we got bullied up front on both sides of ball
we have 0( ZERO) EXPLOSIVE STRENGTH on either side of LOS.
might want to look at a new special teams coach as well as new O line coach.
even in our worst years probation, Goldie or Shannon we have never looked so lost in so many areas.
sometimes i think Richt looked at the job as an easy gig, easier than SEC and figured he could coast till he hung up
just flat awful..... even in lean years i could watch us with hopes we were going to get better.
painful to watch......

Blake shouldn’t have his job to begin with.

We got bullied because all our strong OL are redshirting or playing when they should be or have been redshirted. Also DL was without JJack and Willis I’ll give them a pass we didn’t have much left

Not buying that for a NY minute, LSU, Clemson bullied us bad in the past. Whisky bullied us last year in Orange Bowl.
to win at upper echelon you have to have this type of explosive strength. we do not have it or are not creative in our approach for this type of strength. last time we had it B.Davis was here and the S &C guy was Moffet and he is at LSU
BTW when Urban quit at OSU, first coach he talked about was staying was S&C guy.

Does he think this is helping the kid. Best hope for Jon is to quit in an outrage about now much he father sucks and wouldn’t allow him any freedom.

An OC isn't going to do ****. For it to even have a chance of working with someone as inept as Rick as the HC, you would need a Briles type coach, which we clearly are not going to get. At this stage, we are going to get some loser, who Rick likely hand-picks to run the same type of bull**** Rick likes to run.

Anyone who thinks an OC is the issue to our problems is an idiot with an IQ of potato.
