The real question is will we pursue him and will he be interested in UM. He isn't as obscure a player as Poff and has more size and pedigree as a winner. But there is supposed to be NFL interest and he could follow his coach to Washington St. Cribby says we have money to throw at a QB. Maybe he is the guy.

Mark Gronowski is a draftable quarterback right now. Probably more of a Day 3 guy right now, but would go into next year as a projected Day 2 pick.

He can play. Not Cam Ward though. But he can play at this level. Dawson's offense would be good with him. More willing runner. If you liked Mendoza or the concept of Mendoza...this guy is the best at the FCS level.

Former Walter Payton FCS award winners include NFL Draft Picks and Rostered QBs like Jimmy G, Trey Lance, Delvin Hodges, Heinike, Tony Romo.
