I loved every single Time out that Mario took. Every single one was needed and came at the perfect times!!!!

**** stick Joey Galloway said it and he's right without knowing what it meant. Mario had the field goal at the end of the game to tie and didn't turtle. He let it rip and went for the win. What a change since smu!

That timeout when he saw Bauman and Beck not communicating that could have turned into the errant shotgun snap was huge. He was constantly communicating with the line ref so that the ref paid attention to him.

The play before Beck’s TD run, Mario was chirping in the ref’s ear. We get stopped at the 3, Golding doesn’t call the timeout and the ref looks right at Mario to acknowledge his TO. His best game as a game executive ever imo.

yes, aside from the hideous trick playcalls by dawson (PLEASE leave those at home on the 19th shannon, jesus) this was a really well-coached game in terms of gameplan and game management. our problems were almost entirely player/execution-related, which was pretty frustrating.

He seems locked in and giving his coordinators rope since SMU. To his credit, the bigger the stage, the better we seem to perform.
