Butch 2.0To me he has the same exact qualities as Butch Davis
This has helped me sleep the past few years waiting to get to this point. 100%.Watched Cristobal’s interview on Bussin with the boys and I’m not sure anything other than Canes football crosses that dudes mind. His authenticity and passion for the program is unmatched.
They tried asking him questions outside of football and it’s like they were speaking a different language. The guy is in another dimension and laser focused on bringing this program back like his life depends on it.
Hilarious making a graph for this. There’s no guarantee we ever win a natty with Mario, and no he’s not a proficient coach. But he is ELITE at building programs, and was exactly what we needed:

X-axis is season with that respective program.
I'm going to use this chart as a *** toy. There’s no guarantee we ever win a natty with Mario, and no he’s not a proficient coach. But he is ELITE at building programs, and was exactly what we needed:

Agreed, all he has to do is leave gameday to his 2 coordinators! There’s no guarantee we ever win a natty with Mario, and no he’s not a proficient coach. But he is ELITE at building programs, and was exactly what we needed:

The losses hurt Mario more than any human being currently on earth (Irvin is 2nd, and Jerome Brown, RIP, still cares just as much from his spiritual plane). So mario had to correct his mistakes because he could not accept being the reason the Canes lost a game. One thing I will say has surprised me is how quickly he has moved to correct mistakes. I think that is a very good sign.
Exactly. I said this a few weeks ago in another thread, but in today's CFB landscape with NIL, transfer portal, and all the other things going on, I do think it's best for the HC to be the CEO-type of coach who then leaves the game day to the coordinators. There's way too much to do for one person. Look at all the HCs that are failing trying to do it all and be OC/DC too. It just doesn't work anymore.Agreed, all he has to do is leave gameday to his 2 coordinators!
