Here we go, back to buying into the team.

For all the negative things there are to say, gotta give it to Manny. He realized his biggest mistake (hiring Enos) and immediately fired him and fixed year 1 holes.

- Placekicker: Landed a top Veteran FBS transfer

- OL: hired a highly regarded OL coach who has HC experience himself

- OC: fired stubborn non-innovative Dan Enos who was a huge mistake and landed one of the most sought after SPREAD OCs in the country

- QB: landed the most dynamic results proven QB transfer

With a weak schedule again next year, there will be no more excuses to not win 10 games and the coastal..

But can he do it?

It takes some people more than one marriage to get it right.....

No, suckers and the easily conned are buying back in. Until I see on field results, I'm where I was midway through the season. Diaz remains a BS artist that lacks the ability to manufacture a consistent product, because he himself isn't consistent. Real coaches aren't running around screaming about turnover chains and touchdown rings. Real coaches would have completely stripped this staff down following the regular season finale, and started making wholesale changes. Diaz didn't.

Anyone that thinks Manny doesn’t love this program more than some of the insufferable cry babies on here you’re crazy. Dudes eyes light up every time he talks about going to games back in the days, dude gets it. Make a mistake correct that ****, which is what he’s doing if you’re still crying nothing will ever please you.

I don't think the schedule is a cakewalk.
ACC is getting stronger and UNC is getting stronger for sure.
FSU wont be as terrible. UVA will be similar.
Itll be competitive for sure and it ain't like we're world beaters, we're right there with them all.

Gotta think, with the right offense and QB which it sounds like we have in place now;

The OL will be more motivated knowing they’re not being asked to play action block all the time, thus getting dogged on by everyone

The defense will be more motivated knowing their offense can score points

Both will help fix cultural issues, along with winning against inferior teams again to start the season

I don't think people really realize how close we were to winning 8 - 10 games last year. A bad coach would be lucky to win 3 games with the sh*t that went on last year. No leadership on offense from the most critical positions killed us.

I believe we can.

We're apparently after a GT OT as well that could enroll by May, so we're definitely looking to sure up the OL.

Plus if we can get Roche (which its looking like we will after Stroud visited him last night) & find a way to get Meiko Dotson to help bolster the secondary, we (on paper) could have a very strong Defensive front with a better backend.

Hiring Lashlee, Garin Justice & landing King were crucial moves that will pay dividends for the season. What Manny has to do now is move out the way & let Lashlee work, don't interfere with the Offense & just take over the Defense.

I'm still disappointed he stuck with Patke & didn't upgrade with a better recruiter on the Defensive side of the ball, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

In Lashlee's offense with King at QB, Cam, Chaney & Knighton at RB, plus Wiggins, Pope, Harley, Payton, Redding, Restrepo, Brevin, Mallory & Larry Hodges is a potential explosive plethora of weapons. You'd be hard pressed to convince me we don't put up points on just about everybody we play.

Idk what our record will be, but if Diaz can't figure how to win 9+ games this season then he's clearly not the guy.

He's not going to go out without a fight, that's for sure. I still don't know how this will work out for him after what he showed from August - December, but from January - July he has been a dynamo

You do realize when you are a very average program which Miami has been since 2006 or so it takes winning the offseason ( recruiting , hires , transfers) a few years in a row to win on the field . There are numerous coaches who lost a lot til their program was instilled throughout sport . I think Diaz will be very successful but he has no excuses not to win 9-10 games this upcoming season. A great OC , a great QB , a great punter ( it matters) , some great RB , some talented WR and our D is always nasty. I need to see us win 9-10 games this season to know we are in good hands.
