I would assume Coach Diaz has more complete information on each available option. Where he had to go very well may be his 15th, 16th, and 17th choice. He can't spin it that way, but we will never know. I think to call it lazy is unfair. He may have picked up the phone 25 times since Sunday and 19 of those ended with "no way would I join that dumpster fire in gables with that moron AD." Again, you go to war with the Army you have, not the one you wish you have. The point being is you, I and every other numpty here (minus a few) is dealing with incomplete information, conjecture, and rumor-whoring.

Applewhite is not a great hire due to him not being a good OC, hes not a great hire due to perspectives, since manny has he worked with him, they probably agree on alot of things. Like someone said before get coaches from different perspective. Unless the dude has gain a lot of knowledge from his Hc experience, this would just be a good hire, but not great.
