All the discussion centered around BYU and Bama would not have been significant if Virginia had beat Duke. Virginia would be in and we'd be left out. As embarrassing as the ACC has been we got included because the ACC is so badly run. Love, hate or dispise Manny, Duke did us a huge favor. I also may have missed it but I haven't heard complaints from Duke about not being in but lots from ND

The committee was counting on UVA to win and then they’d put in 11-2 UVA over Miami with, in their minds, clear rationale (a better record). And then ND over us because they already had the “top ACC team” in.

Thank you to Manny and Duke.

Also credit to Josh Pate for forecasting this what if scenario, he was the first person I heard mention this before others picked up on it.

Agree. Dont understand how there is so little national attention to the fact that UVA is in with that win. And it was an OT loss .
