Manny defense in one play

We've seen this all season. We don't know how to play zone and play the sticks. Zone is really man coverage in your area. Our guys cover space and not people like stick men in a corn field. They've done this all year in every game, yet Diaz still calls the same defense they keep failing at.

It's fireball for calling the play and even more so to not correct and teach zone coverage properly. Teams like Iowa are zone 1st teams and are excellent at it. How do you not look the teams that play zone well and replicate what they do? Even get on the phone and make some relationships with other coaches to learn how they teach that aspect as well as others that they do well.

This is just the results of a failure in coaching. It's a failure of the coach to not learn the "best practices" of certain aspects of the game and then to communicate and teach his players well enough thst they can execute it.

The failures we see are either coached or accepted or perhaps both.

Been seeing it for years. It sucks. It never stops and its why so many QB's have a field day with us.

Another bad coverage we have is as follows.

When FSU would line up three on a side, the coverage call was atrocious as well. Outside receiver had a man 5 yards down the field. Guy in the middle, coverage 8 to 10 yards off. Slot, 10 to 12 yards off. They're staggered like that to help not getting tangled up in crossing routes, but the slot is so far gapped that he just has to cut inside and wide open. Teams been shredding us all yest that way.

Most coaches never do. They're set in their ways and think they just have to find the right guys to run their defense or offense. The good ones adapt, the others bounce around from job to job.

Spot dropping, just covering grass. Manny's calling card since day 1. It's why every team we play always have receivers running wide open.

To double down on how bad it is, we'll usually bring a blitz as well, leaving even more open ground.

I don't know what our defensive ranking is in 3rd down stops, but I bet we're near dead last in 3rd and long stops. It's always there for the taking.

He called pretty much the same coverage on that 4th and 14 play. Where couch just covered grass as the reciever pass right by him and was 1on1 vs our safety and he had 2 spying the QB on 4th and 14. I'm lost because manny literally blitz on every down but the time where he actually should blitz he rushes 3.

This how they play defense on madden and I want to break my controller everytime. If nobody is in your zone follow the wideout. That’s a easy int for couch if he had some sense.

I don't understand or see any logic in mannys substitution patterns. Guy makes a play and is immediately running of the field.
