This was a great read. Very candid information from coach Jon Richt, rosier and others: Love how through all the adversity such as being told he wouldn’t play here he stuck it out and came up with some big moments last year. Is he perfect? **** no but I know One thing we haven’t had a qb that can will his team back to victories like he did in the FSU game, Georgia tech game and uva game in a long time which often gets discounted.

Saw this on YouTube but just look at some of the throws he made with excellent ball placement. When he’s on he’s on. Rosier just needs to be consistent but I dont Think he’s a talenteless or mediocre QB. I don’t know what it is but he has something... hopefully he progresses this year

Excerpt from the article

This offseason another Richt, Jon, the team’s QB coach, issued an equally bombastic declaration to Rosier and the Miami quarterback room: “Look, everybody in the country is doubting you as to whether you can do this or not. … A lot of people are bringing us down saying we’re not good enough to bring Miami back to what it’s been because we’re not ready at our position
Again very candid lol

It all sounds promising but we need to see it on sunday. Im cautiously optimistic. Its hard to get some of the awful throws he made last year out of my head.

Malik is what he is. The good news, QBs can get better with a lot of practice, hard work, good coaching, game experience, weapons, and time from the OL. I have hope that he has improved from last year.

We won last year Despite Malik, not because of him. To his credit, he did have some solid games and certainly flashes. However our team was much better than a Hail Mary against FSU and GT. Those games should not have come that close. The Pitt game was awful. The whole team looked lethargic and I think we really got hurt by not having a bye week mid season, but he really stunk in that game. That was last season.

Hope Malik has taken steps forward. If he has this can be a VERY special season...like run the table in the regular season special. Let’s go Malik!!!!

It's telling to me that Rosier had a QB coach in the offseason. He could've have rested on his laurels, but for whatever reason, enlisted a QB coach to identify and then work on his shortcomings.

Also, what Richt. JR said about how smart Rosier is and that he needs to be challenged. This shows that Richt understands more about the QB he has after a season of being the starting QB and what Rosier needs to improve upon, what his strengths and weaknesses are, and most likely, what play calls will be successful.

Rosier sticking around after basically being told he'd never start shows me some intestinal fortitude. As mentioned, many people close to him were recommending he transfer or just be resigned to being a back up. But he was determined to get a degree from the U and help return the U to prominence.

I'm cautiously optimistic as well. It won't be long until we find out if all that work will pay big dividends.

Wait, wait a minute! You mean when he has time to set his feet (and isn't running for a first down or TD) he's accurate? Go figure...his running ability is worth another 5% on his passing percentage.

Coach Richt has definitely gotten all the juice out of Rosier and I fully expect him to have a very good... not great.. but very good reliable senior year for us

That second TD throw in Virginia game shows what he is capable of. I know he has it in him he just has to be consistent. I'm among the very few fans on this board who always believed in Malik.

I truly hope he can be a game manager with our studs in which playoffs are a possibility.

I'm on record saying I don't think Rosier can ever be a great QB but with a little more consistency, he can be a pretty good QB. A pretty good QB can get us to the playoffs. The coaches all seem confident in him so I'll remain optimistic.

If he's as accurate as he was against Syracuse all season, then we'll be in the CFP. If he's like every other game, well, I think we still win the Coastal and hopefully a bowl game.

Malik Rosier has more of what it takes to be an elite qb than any other UM qb since Dorsey. I haven’t had this much faith in one of our qbs, going into a season, since Jacory Harris’s sophomore year.

“When Malik is challenged is when he becomes the best Malik,” Jon Richt said. “If you just let him do his own thing, he’s going to relax. But when you push him and you prod him and get in his grill and make him believe he’s got something to prove. That’s when Malik comes out and plays the best football he can.”

See this is what being a winner is all about. I’d rather ride with Malik all day, while the other qbs some of y’all think are better don’t like coaches yelling at them.

Brock Berlin had his moments... but f*ck it, I'm riding with Malik Rosé !

U had faith in JaPicky? Every drop back ppl were holding their breath. Interception machine

Cant keep running the ball for 0 negative yards. Rosier is almost like a So in games played. Hoping he makesa huge jump like a SO
