Major Injury to ND Player

Charles Jagusah, Notre Dame’s best OL, was injured in an UTV accident over the 4th of July weekend & required surgery on his arm.
He should be okay in the long run, but obviously will be out vs Miami.

He was the kid who originally was the starting LT last year but tore his peck in fall camp. Then came back to play the CFP semifinal & national title game. Marcus Freeman said he is elite at any OL position, but they moved him inside this year, despite most expecting him back at OT in the NFL (6’7.5, 335).
Huge loss for Notre Dame.

“A little bit about Sullivan Absher. The 6-8, 328-pound redshirt sophomore was one of ND's highest-graded players and top-graded O-lineman (edging Aamil Wagner) per Pro Football Focus in 2025. That came with a relatively small sample size (90 season snaps on offense) but he graded high for both run blocking and pass blocking.”

It’s funny, because of have two elementary aged daughters who were mad at me on the 4th because I wouldn’t let them ride ATV’s.

This kid is an elite OL. Top 10 type in the country. They are picking up where they left off with crazy injuries. Assuming he is out for the game.

their oline still very good, but not as good w/o him. He is a projected day 1 or day 2 pick. Our Dt's should have easier time and so should Toure the linebacker. The guy slated to replace him has very little experience.

I don’t wish these types of situations on any kid no matter the team he plays for. That being said, life’s about choices and there are times when we all make choices we wish we hadn’t. I sincerely hope the young fella recovers and can have a productive life/career going forward

Yeah, but it’s funny this kid ended up out there.
He’s a city kid who was a 41-0 HW State Wrestling Champ out of Chicago.
I’m guessing it was his first time on an atv.

The fact that they let players use those electric scooters is crazy to me. I see a ton of scooter injuries in the ED.
