For those that don't know from August 23rd to September 30th is considered magical dining month in Orlando and there are over a 100 restaurants that have a special 3 course menu at $35 a person.

There are some amazing restaurants on the list. Simply put on average you can get a roughly $200 meal for $70 (assuming two persons).

The UF vs UM game on Aug 24 falls during this period.

Thanks for the info!

@caneinorlando feel free to chime in, this in your wheelhouse.

Go Canes
El Pescatore on Primrose off of Colonial (3 miles East of Camping World) is one of my go too's for Italian....
Nothing fancy...but reasonable prices and Huge Portions....Ravenous Pig in Winter Park is another Gem...about 4 miles Northeast of Camping World....

I'll help out.

I won't mention the good chains on the list (Ruth's Chris, Fogo de Chao, etc.), if you want to hit those, that's fine.

"Convention Area" = International Drive
Del Friscos and Everglades are excellent. I have not been to Mango's, but the current location was designed by an alum of the UM School of Architecture.

"Disney/Lake Buena Vista" = primarily Disney Springs
Just went to Jaleo (Jose Andres' new place) and it was amazing. I took 2 of my UK colleagues, and we tried to get into Morimoto Asia first, but it was a 90 minute wait, so make a reservation 24 hours in advance if you want to do this one. Enzo's Hideaway and Maria & Enzo's are excellent (the Hideaway is downstairs, literally in an old Disney access tunnel).

Downtown - this will be very close to where you will likely go for parking/shuttle to the stadium.
Artisan's Table has been good (I have not been to the new location on Church Street yet). The Boheme is amazing, as always, and Reyes Mezcaleria is a new Mexican place on the north end of Orange Avenue. K and Rusteak are both amazing, but they are located in College Park (northwest of downtown, on the other side of I4). Maxines and Soco are excellent, they are more to the east of downtown (Thornton Park). Bites and Bubbles is good, but it's located in Mills-50 (northeast of downtown, other side of Colonial Drive).

"Restaurant Row" = Sand Lake Road area. Other side of I4 from International Drive, and close to Universal.
Urbain 40 is the obvious choice here, but Pharmacy is the unusual one, it's a speakeasy.

Universal/CityWalk
Not a lot of choices, but Kitchen is solid, it's in the Hard Rock Hotel, downstairs by the pool.

Winter Park - north of downtown
The Ravenous Pig is my personal favorite in the entire bunch. Antonios, Luma, and Prato are all great.

Surrounding areas - probably too far to go
If you want to make the effort, 1921 in Mount Dora is amazing. Chroma in Lake Nona is also very solid, I've been there multiple times.

Primrose Dr has both El Pescatore & 7- Bites on it....The Breakfast Biscuit with Egg, sausage (homemade), and Pimento Cheese (which gets gooey from warmth) at 7- Bites, gets 5* from CaneinOrlando...

Their food is so good, I swear 7-bites is putting weed in the cooking oil.

PS: for those that don't get the reference, it's to the movie "The Trap", featuring TI and Mike Epps.

How many of those $35 meals do those corn-feed girls usually polish off in a sitting?

Is Boston lobster fest still kicking?

Yes they are still there, but they don't participate in Magical Dinning Month. However very close to their location on I-drive is another more upscale eatery called The Oceanaire which does participate in Magical Dinning Month.

Dealing with women is simple, if you take care of her needs and she will more than handle anything you want! So if she wants an extra to go bag from dinner I am cool with it as long as she saves room for some dark chocolate dessert.

Maybe the old saying "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" should be changed to "The way to a woman's heart is through her stomach."
