Why not this kid as our big back? Whats the deal with him? Does he have an offer or not? We missed out on Gio Bernard and James White by not offering them, and they went on to ball out at their respective schools. I wouldn't want to miss out on a third!

I agree, I could see him becoming the next very solid back at MSU.

He's firm to Michigan St per Chris Nee.

Don't think the staff was ever seriously interested in London.

He had legit interest earlier in the process but instead of evaluating him during spring, they wanted him to pay 50 bucks and drive down to the camp; which he never did. He always looked to play with moten as they are very close but his recruitment is done. I wish we would've offered and had him on board; he will be a very good big 10 bruiser.

But then we would be building a Big 10 team and we don't want that.

Big 10 back = Big 10 team.... Wow glad to see we got the logic flowing

Big 10 backs play on non-Big 10 teams?

I bet the Big 10 wouldn't be happy about that.

What do we want than? I'll take that MSU defense in a heartbeat along with those big RB's. It's not about what we want or don't want; or even who we recruit. At the end of the day our recruits aren't being coached up how they should be.

I want to win games. I'm not the one saying we are losing because Al is building a Big 10 team. Some of our recruits are in fact being coached up. Others are not good at football. Not saying coaching is not a problem.

I am really disappointed that both Shannon and Golden could not make Highsmith and Rodgers into Reed and Taylor.

Whose fault was it that we couldn't replace highsmith and Rodgers?

Time?

Bush, Jenkins, Carter - all better than Highsmith and Rodgers. They're all v. young though.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

MacGarrett Kings from U-School is a nice little utility player for Michigan State. I like London and think he can play. May not star, but will at minimum contribute.

South Florida is full of contributing quality running backs every year...no reason London can't be another. Lorenzo Woodley and Fred Coppet got carries as true freshmen in the MAC.

Time, really... there wasn't any better safety prospects in prior hauls for miami's taking. If the Golden regime continues on their current direction they will run out of time.

We will regret not offering in a couple years

Are y'all going say this **** every time a kid goes somewhere else?

Yes. They will.

Unfortunately -
- Not every coach gets every evaluation right - see the NFL Draft every year - Al Golden will make mistakes - Skai Moore - maybe it was the Matthew Thomas issue, maybe it was a flat miss, but it happens to every coach -- minimizing it is the important part
- Not every player wants to play for Miami, this happens at other places where some players want out of an area for one reason or another. Another piece at Miami, is the team has been down for 10 years and there is apparently a racial disconnect since the expectation was that Randy Shannon was hired for life.
- Not every player in high school is going to develop into a star - no matter who the coach is - again there needs to be consistent development
- Not every coach has the hindsight goggles that message board coaches are given when they sign up for the website

We have a lot of experts on this board. Many of which fail to agree or acknowledge that talent and coaching goes hand in hand and that the NCAA had at least somewhat of an impact of the current state of the program. Others are simply trolling for comedic effect.

After recruiting season is over, I would like to see a breakdown of our class by these experts and gurus, evaluating each player in our class versus players at the positions that "got away", had grade issues, or we missed on. Pin the breakdown at the top of the board for each class and we can then evaluate it in the future. This will help us to understand in the future what happened now, rather than simply crying about any player from Dade who ends up elsewhere and is successful.

For better or worse, I think the staff is committed to Gus Edwards being our big back.

Without any other additions, we have the following kids on scholarship at RB:

D. Johnson
D. Crawford
G. Edwards
J. Yearby
B. Powell

He's firm to Michigan St per Chris Nee.

Firm until the school he really wants offers like any kid. Don't know if that's Miami or not but just saying. We need more RB depth for sure but I guess Al and Co. passed on him for some reason.
