Mack Brown never before fired an assistant during mid season, but in 2013 only took him to watch a BYU game film two times and fired Manny only two games in to the season.
Manny's defense at Texas was getting exposed every single game( players weren't lining up correctly or players didn't play hard every game) , sounds familiar?
The old man knew how bad was Manny and made the right decision , something he never did before but was necessary to avoid repeating the 2012 season when the Texas defense was riddled by Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Baylor and struggled to stop the run.
Manny was a bad hire and Blake James should be accountable and responsible for this, hopefully the BOT push for the right decision as Mack Brown did.
