Coach Lucas has done more than enough to justify investment. That said, I hope the powers that be understand that long term stability should not come at the price of long term viability. Do not give coaches insane buyout clauses, because that only serves to handcuff the program if things go sideways.
As long as any potential buyout numbers are sane, I’m with it. I hope the deal provides Coach with the financial backing he needs in order to build a world class program.

As long as someone didn’t do something insane(Which I doubt), no AD would have a problem with this. Lock him up early, do whatever needs to be done to keep him happy. Hopefully this shows Coach that we are serious about him being the long term solution.

I love to see we are investing long term in a sport other than football. Not content with Jai over performing, but extending him and NIL investment that should push us towards an E8 or better.
Hopefully we can get something together for baseball. I will aggressive improvement in all the major sports is big for our eventual conference realignment.

Oh 100%, but let’s hope whoever negotiated the deal since we still don’t have an AD made sure we get a pretty penny in the case of a buyout.

We also do have interim ADs all i highly doubt they have the level of power to make an extension call.
