LSU game similarities to gator

UF was S&P+ Top 10 last year. They were a legit really good team. They also return a ton of production, and return a lot of areas that seem to have a high correlation to success (returning production in secondary has the highest correlation to defensive Year to Year success, and they return their entire secondary).

One thing that is different is recruiting rankings. LSU had one of the highest blue chip ratings last year. That was a team that should have dominated us in terms of physical talent. So they were like a veteran George Foreman going into the year. Not the best boxer in the world, but capable of knocking out anybody with one punch.

UF isn’t at that level. They are almost the opposite. A better pure skill set, but not as much natural talent.

Jarren or Tate going up against that secondary is what I'm most worried about. Id say it's very similar to LSU's last year but with more depth. Their DL has some guys but I think our recruiting talent on OL will finally appear with competent coaches.

For Miami it comes down to getting a feel for the game. There are just too many unproven variables. Love Thomas Brevin Mallory all the linebackers to provide some leadership. But essentially all new coaches new schemes and lack of depth. Early early game. But it's the gator and it gives us the greatest motivation to get better. We have the talent but that 2019 class did not do us any favors. But its the gator and our kids will be ready for a fight. Early rounds we get knocked around but we land a flurry of punches in the late rounds to win the fight. Revising early prediction. Miami 28 the gator 21.
