Watching this year is like watching LSU in 2019. It would be interesting to compare the stats. That team had two first round picks at WR and Burrow at QB, but it seems effortless for Miami to score. I almost think Miami could be better, with Ward given the freedom to change the play, based on the defense. Dawson has said he calls the plays, but doesn't know what play they'll actually run. Now we just need their OL coach's wife dancing.

Uhhh I don’t really think that. Def not after this year. If he blows up next year maybe. I could see rounds 3-5
He does have the NFL measurables and has improved every year. By no means a sure fire 1st rounder like a Jermiah Smiff, but the opportunity is there.

I posted this in another thread awhile back and this isn’t meant to create Burrow/LSU worship by any means but outside of that team being Uber talented at QB and WR there were other variables at play.

Burrow completed 76% of his passes. 5,671 yards. 60 passing TDs with only 6 INTs. Also had 5 rushing TDs.

LSU was pushed by several teams where Burrow HAD to put up those video game numbers for them to win as the games weren’t blow outs. In the regular season LSU had Texas, Uif, Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss and UGA. Winning some those games by 3, 5… 14 points.

Could it happen sure, but I just don’t see us having the schedule that will test us that much (defensively) that Cam will need to bail us out.

To get to 5,600 yards passing in a season will come with more than are we just good.

Agree.

Chiming in to give kudos to the young man more than anything. Easy to bounce given the era we’re in. Chose to continue to work and to stay here instead of entertaining playing elsewhere. Hope he keeps working and gets rewarded for it. True Cane.

I want to enter that type of Kool-Aid drinking party but no Jefferson and no Chase will cap our 2019 LSU potential.

Cam is operating at a high level but once you start playing the Bama/Texas/Georgia's of the world I don't think we're getting to 40 and 50 points without those type of receivers.

Maybe against 1 of them but all 3? LSU was at a level we may never see again, having a QB and 2 WRs be All Pro types.

No where near that amount of talent on offense, specifically at WR. A good chunk of Burrow's yards were YAC from Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, etc.The other underrated factor with that squad is they were unsually healthy.
