1. Another big WR in Chris Bell who is on a tear this season - 6’2 220 - I feel OK given how our CBs have performed

2. Isaac Brown tale of two levels of comp. First two games 230 yards on 18 carries and last two games 27 carries for 86 yards

3. They’ve been a penalized team - so it’s not clean averaging 75 penalty yards per game

4. Their defense giving up fewer yards per game than ours in the ACC

Brown had a 78 yard run at the end of the game against JMU to put the game away their second game.
His other 11 carries went for 26 yards.

They have struggled to run the ball in every non-FCS game.
That OL is horrible.

FSU's entire offense was backyard football by castellanos. Brohm normally gives us fits but Heatherman completely shut down Malzaln's gimmicky offense. if thier QB is a statue, that plays right into our strength
The entire fspoo offense has been predicated on the Johnny Manziel style qb.
You can’t prepare for the unscripted qb. How many games did Travis win for him. You have a statue back there and the 4th and 17 never happens.

Maybe thats why Mario was going after Mateer. It’s one hail of an insurance policy. And when you have a running game like ours with receivers that can block it puts a ridiculous amount of pressure on the defense.

See the last 4th qtr against fspoo.

I think we all have respect for Brohm, and we all have Louisville PTSD.

But this is not a good offense this year. If you think this is the Louisville you're used to, you haven't been watching. Some of this is going to shock some of you:

Louisville is 37th in scoring offense (we are coincidentally 36th). 32.3 PPG. However, we know our 4 FBS games. Louisville has played James Madison, Bowling Green, Pitt, and Virginia. 3 of those 4 at home. 4 teams with nowhere near the talent we have.

And in those games, they are:

82nd in yards per play
129th (!!) in yards per carry
125th in rushing yards per game
53rd in passer rating
67th in yards per attempt
128th in TFL's allowed
117th in sacks allowed
73rd in Offensive EPA/play
57th in Offensive Success rate

Now, to be totally fair, they should've beat UVA on Saturday. They lost in OT and UVA had two defensive touchdowns. Louisville outgained them 383-287 and lost.

But this offense stinks. We have zero reason to let them score a bunch of points on us, Brohm be damned. The defense is WAY better than the offense, I'll get into more of that as we get into the week of the game but this offense blows. I'm not 1% concerned about Brohm, even though I do think he's an excellent coach. But they've been awful all year on that side, that's not going to change against us in our building on a Friday night with that place dripping with juice.
