I know that ND did not give up too much against UL, but I sure as **** hope our Defense steps up in this game. it sure looks like they score points.

Louisville is 13th in the country in YPP.

664 yards (8.51 per play) 2 weeks ago against BC and won, scoring 41 points.
520 yards (7.54 per play) last week against Wake, scoring 62 points (they did have a KO return for a TD and several short fields, however)

They can absolutely move the ball and score. I'm confident saying Miami's defense is a lot better than Wake and BC, but Louisville is moving the ball well this year. By contrast, against P5 competition, Miami has 4 games with over 7.5 offensive YPP since 2014. 4 in the last 5 years. They've done it back to back weeks.

That's a scary stat. I am sick of seeing offensive ineptitude here.

About the first time I can recall hearing of a guy being out for a year because of a toe injury.

I think a QB who has the last name Pass is kind of funnny.

Anyway, Louisville seems like they're better off without Pass.

Louisville's OL is hot garbage though. They've been capitalizing off not playing a real DL in WF and BC. Miami's DL may just wreak havoc now that Manny and co. figured out our best DL combo by game 7. I wonder how they'll get the time off to pass the ball.

Unfortunate. Pass is one of the worst QBs in college football.

But irrelevant as the backup has played for several games now.

Turf toe? Ended Jack Lambert's career basically.

I'm disappointed in this news.

Only because I was looking forward to listening to the announcers saying "Pass passes the ball" during the Miami-Louisville game.

Ran for 236 and 225 the last 2 weeks. As a matter of fact, they've run for at least 206 yards in 5 of their 6 games. Miami has run for 206 yards once in their 6 games.

That being said, probably the #1 best aspect of Miami's entire team has been the run defense. So, I don't expect Louisville to go wild.

Noon on Saturday....Clemson at Louisville. We'll see just how well their offense is humming.

Yep. But that one game they didn't rush for over 200 they rushed for 124 for 2.6 ypc. FSU also had 6 sacks that game and Louisville is something like 90th in the country in sacks allowed and even worse in tackles for loss allowed.

I've had my eye on the Clemson game as well. Thought the over of 60.5 was easy money until I saw those stats and figured there's a good chance Clemson just completely shuts them down like they did to FSU last week.

Maybe Clemson scores 61 by themselves...….Louisville's defense is in the 100's in a lot of metrics.

Still though, 1 game out of 6 not getting 200+ doesn't scream "Awful O-line" to me. But they do it a lot schematically. Satterfield is a really good coach.

But yes, let's see how they handle the Clemson defense. While Miami is not Clemson, they're closer to that level than they are to Wake and BC, IMO. I'll be interested to see what they can do on Saturday at home.
