Loudest Moment/ or Game In UM History

Some good moments in here, no doubt. As for Hard Rock, I'm not sure we have hit the ceiling of what is possible, noise-wise, in that stadium. I think it has the potential to be louder than the Orange Bowl - for as great as the Orange Bowl was, it had one major flaw holding it back, the open east end. The place was bad for the opposing team when it was working in the west half of the field, but the east half was a bit of a reprieve.

Anyway, if we can extend this discussion to Dolphins history, there is one moment that was up there with any of those mentioned in this thread - the AJ Duhe pick six on Richard Todd in the 1982 season AFC Championship. I was very little, but that was a nasty, nasty crowd. It may be hard to believe these days, but Dolphins crowds were tough as **** back then, no joke. Tickets were far less expensive, and those games attracted a hard drunk blue-collar element that you don't see today.

The ND game last year was crazy, but the amount of noise the crowd made for the much-less-attended Georgia Tech game in the 4th quarter was in a way more impressive.

The way Costa played against Nebraska in NC....I hope like F it wasn't your "Macho Special" Dirt Laced balls, that were the culprit for Costa underthrowing Jonathon Harris (twice) for sure TDs.....
I only laced the visitor's balls dude. The visitor's balls.

Carlos Jones pick six was not just deafening, it felt like the Orange Bowl was going to literally collapse. I was 15 and it was madness.

I'm curious as what the actual decibel levels were at the old Orange Bowl. It got loud there but the fact that the stadium actually rumbled and creaked when bedlam broke loose made it even crazier.

Props for the '17 ND game. By far the loudest Hard Rock has ever been. Especially Bandy's pick 6. The crowd kept it up for a while even though the game was a blowout. The sound reverberating off the overhang easily makes Hard Rock one of the loudest venues in sports today.

Agreed wait till we play a close game vs a high ranked rival.that awning holds the sound in the stadium, plus alcohol in a pro stadium makes any fan louder.

I mentioned that Georgia tech game earlier in this thread as much as I loved Notre Dame blowout last year the game being close changed the mentality of the fans and even though it was not sold out that end of 3rd and 4th quarter were up ther. I was close enough to the field that I was not covered by the awning either when it started to rain. The rain changed the atmosphere and the play of the team and without it I don’t know if we win that game. The atmosphere and victory at the end of the first time canes fans have felt euphoria like that from a victory in a long time.

Bandy pick six. It feels good to have a home field again where the ND captain gives props to Miami for how hostile we were that night:

Captain Drue Tranquill wore a hat and a hoodie. He nearly looked whiplashed. “I think just credit to them all over the place,” Tranquill said. “Credit to their fans. That was the loudest game I’ve ever played in. I think that they really added an element to help them.”Tranquill said when noise becomes a factor, the defense has to communicate with their hands. When the crowd becomes “super into it, it’s hard to catch a rhythm,” he said.

I thought we lost it forever when we made the move 10 years ago (holy **** it's been a decade already) and now we can legit say we've got it back.

Looking forward to finally beating those Semenholes this year in Hard Rock. We still owe them.

It's a tie.. I was there for Shockey TD, and the whole stadium went absolutely crazy, for like 7 mins straight. But man, I was there last year for Bandy TD, and holy sh*T. The Canopy just amplified an already electric atmosphere. I think a poster said it on previous thread a while back. After 7 years of BS, that was a collective scream of "B#tch we back".

My Snapchat story from the Notre Dame game. First row Notre Dame side.

Side note I was a tad intoxicated so not the best language, spellings, or use of camera but gives you a feeling of what it was like. The second to last video was a minute or two after the bandy pick six. If you look on the Jumbotron you can see bandy getting the turnover chain.

My brother is non verbal autistic how we ended up with such good seats but you see him at the beginning of the video.

Sweet, but I have to ask. Were you also a tad bit intoxicated when you typed in your username, or am I missing some hidden meaning?

For a single moment, I have to go 2003 against Florida in the OB. I was in the upper deck with my uncle and cousins. When Hester returned the opening kickoff back to the crib, I couldn't hear my family right next to me.

Loudest game that I was inside the stadium for? Last season vs Virginia Tech was up there. And the 02 game vs Virginia Tech that clinched the Fiesta Bowl berth was loud too

Was there and I was about the say the same thing. That place rocked like crazy.
