with the emergence of 'the Lackawanna Kid' Colbie Young, Im looking forward to seeing him, Jacolby George and X, in the WR rotation, with Brashard Smith (who's coming on), and with Skinner at TE being worked in more. I'd like to see what this passing attack looks like in November. As for the (lack of) running game, honestly, I dont think that gets solved until some of our blue-chip lineman get on campus next year. First thing Mirabel has to work on is getting the snaps off on time, in sync with the rest of our Oline line. Jackai Clark was really missed.

Yeah, yesterday was a slog, but there is a bright side to some of this.

Just gotta keep stacking wins vs very beatable ACC teams and create some momentum. Wins are wins. Yesterday reminded me of that line from the great boxing trainer, George Benton, during a tough fight, 'Hey kid, win tonight, lets look good the next time."

- BTW, do you believe in Hendon Heisman, now? How 'bout dem Vols...

Hooker for Heisman.

Hopefully Zion will get the correct advice that he's not going to go anywhere near the first round if he declares after this season. At this point, he should take a medical RS. Next year he starts at LT on a line with Mauigoa and Pancake Honcho. If UM finishes top 10, I think Nelson will significantly help his draft stock. With Young emerging as a #1 WR, UM needs to get 1 more quality WR out of the portal and I think we'll have a very solid receiving corps overall. Now the next step is key- throw all the $$$ at Dan Mullen or Joe Brady to be OC even if just for one year. ****, get Ed O to call Brady and invite him down. As someone pointed out in the Tennessee thread, UM is actually six spots HIGHER in the talent composite rankings than Tennessee. We have the talent to be extremely competitive but we need an OC to bring some electricity.

Time, I get the sense that Zion is already looking ahead to the next level, unfortunately.

Which is mind boggling to me given how this season has played(or hasnt) for him. UM leads the nation in early 7th round departures the past decade

Looking ahead, with Colbie's size and strength, the smoothness of Jacolby George, X in the slot, you add the speed of guys like Ray Ray and Washington, UM can cook with that. There are some ingredients there to work with

F**k the Vols. That’s all.

If he was really going to be a first or second round pick I'd say "go get that money." I just don't see that happening with a guy who hasn't played all season. Only chance of being a high pick is he comes back and dominates the last half of the season, but he's probably going to take a couple games to get back into shape. And then what.. 3 decent games on film in 2022? I don't think it's anywhere near a Rosseau situation- Rosseau was so dominant that sitting out during covid wasn't going to hurt him much. It would be a shame for Nelson to ruin his chances of getting generational wealth from his first NFL contract. If he's drafted in the 4th or 5th round and gets injured again, his NFL career will be over and he'll be selling used cars instead of sipping margaritas on his yacht.

UM’s finish won’t matter. Two of next April’s top OL are from Northwestern and Maryland.

Now, return, stay healthy and get coached up, hopefully, and we’re talking….

Zion has checked out, as Drew Rosenhaus is in his ear to bag the rest of the season and just get ready for the draft.

If we see Zion again in a 'Canes uniform for anything other than photos on senior day, it would be a miracle of miracle max proportions.

Forget about Zion. He's long gone.

(of course, i could be wrong) 🤷‍♂️ ... but i don't think so.

Im told you are....

correct sir

Getting weapons back can help but im still not completely sold on this offense, i like that gattis adjusted even if it were late but its insane that we can’t produce more big plays or points. Like alot of the big plays are just tvd ripping it to seams or 50/50 go balls, it’s insane i see teams all week with lesser talent than us get easy big plays but we still having trouble vs bad defenses

agreed, at the end of the game vs Duke -- they had all of 20 points

People are rarely well served in the long run by listening to someone who tells them to do less of the very thing that makes them good.
